Brakes
My brakes are not good. They are the original drum brakes. The shoes are almost gone. My buggy goes 28mph. And the brakes are not good enough.
So the question is, If I replace the shoes will it be adequate? Or do I have to upgrade to disc brakes? I know most say to update to disc, but that is not a cheap solution. |

Re: Brakes
Do the DISC brakes, they are easier to maintain than the drums & they will actually stop your cart. @ 28mph I wouldn't anything but disc brakes. I have the AUSCO disc brakes on my cart and love them. My cart hit 35mph last night on a drive, and it will stop it like it was nothing.
Oh, and no, replacing the pads on the drums will not be enough to stop it at 28mph. I tried that first before I got my brakes, I ended up wasting $40 on the pads, and my time on installing them. |

Re: Brakes
Same thing and EZ has free shipping on them as well, coupon code FREEJA13 I have multiple sets of these and they work great. Only thing I don't like is how low they hang on the cart. On some carts you can flip them upside down to get the mechanics out of the way but not with mine. Lift brackets in the way..

Re: Brakes
Same ones as pilot's.. I've done a few of these so didn't take me quite that long but if you have never done a set, probably 3 hours.. The install instructions are here http://www.shopezgo.com/products/Mec...-Electric.html on the install tab
