Default brake question

Ok we ordered parts to redo axle and brakes on bad boy buggy/ezgo

the things we have run into- they sent someone our axle and we got their wires- we have the Drums and bake shoes- and my some is working on the brakes as we speak- passenger side fairly easy the drivers side kind of rusty
I am heading to a local shop to pick up some hardware in the morning and my son just called, and asked is the hardware the same on both sides?

he did say the passengers side is pretty snug, with the adjusters almost all the way in, is that normal? nothing else we have is normal

thanks Guys

it looks like this next spring I will get the newer cart

Hi! I had trouble understanding your post, but I can tell you that if you renew the brake shoes on a wheel, you take up slack in the system and the brakes become "tighter". THAT IS, THEY ACT AS IF THEY HAVE JUST BEEN ADJUSTED. tHE TOLERENCES ARE CLOSER, AND YOU USUALLY HAVE TO - sorry my caps lock - you usually have the back off the adjusters some to compensate. HOPE THIS HELPS......

It may help to loosen the dual adjuster under the brake pedal when installing new brake shoes. Readjust after installation.
