Problem not running
I have had this issue 3 times while getting this cart ready for Christmas. I turn the key on and move the lever to forward, press the pedal and I hear the click of the engagement from the accelerator petal but the cart goes no where. I then flip the forward/reverse lever to reverse hear the click and press the petal and it does not go. I set there and fiddle with the cart flipping the lever and turning the key on and off and out the blue the cart find for hours. As I said it has only done this but 3 times in the past few weeks. Can anyone help?

Re: Problem not running
seeing as how you have a Marathon....so its a series cart.....which means it has a big F&R switch right in front of the controller which has a steel rod that goes over to the lever by your knee, right? what you issue is, most likely the contacts in the switch are worn out and don't make good contact. If you look at the back of the F&R there is a shaft and that shaft has a nut on it. Tighten it up, JUST A TAD, if you tighten it up to much it will make it hard to operate. that MAY solve your problem, AND check all your connections in the high current loop (LARGE CABLES) to ensure they are all tight.

Re: Problem not running
I'd also check all the wiring on the fnr assembly. Sounds like it could just be a bad connection.

Re: Problem not running
I had a similar problem once. After the old man and I checked every such thing, turned out to be the solenoid. A quick $20 fix.

Re: Problem not running
The marathon F&R is mounted on the firewall front & center. the micro switch on the passenger side activates in F&R, it could be going bad....Next time it won't go pull out your meter and check the switch instead of slapping the lever around You may find the ms is intermittent.
