Default Ignition spacer for my new dash?

I used the search bar but couldn't find any info on this. I bought an aftermarket Carbon Fiber dash for my 06 DS and it didn't come with a spacer for my ignition kit and the new dash doesn't have a built in piece to accomidate the switch. I have not taken mine apart yet and i am just going by the videos on you tube and they are saying that the dashes they put on require them. Has anyone else run across this issue before? I will be doing this install this weekend and was just trying to avoid a set back before i get started. Thanks.

Never mind, I made a few phone calls and found a kit for the dash. You would think they would make mention of this when they sell you the dash

I saw this but didn't answer!
I have a CF dash on my 07, and just used a backing nut on my key switch so it didn't stick out an 1" and a half...

I don't get what you were looking for? or what you got to fix your problem?

I just called the same company that i bought my dash from and asked them how to compensate for the long key switch so it wont stick out 1-1/2 from the dash. He said that their is a kit you can buy that is basicly a sleave that has the keyway notch so it won't turn. That takes up the space like the stock dash has. The kit also comes with the flush mount cover for the outside of the key switch that is chrome and looks nice so that your not just looking at a big nut on your new dash. Just looks a little nicer

when I put a new dash in I buy a new key switch for a older c/c it uses the same key and there cheap and only about 2 inches long depending on the dash you get some of them have drink holders so the long barrel wont fit

That is what i wound up doing. The spacer kit that i bought still wouldn't work so i ended up gettting a new ignition switch that was shorter as well as flush mount. I sure wish the people on the phone that you talk to when you order stuff acually owned and worked on carts. It would save us money and aggrivation in the long run! Thaks for the help

I too went with a shorter key switch designed for a CC and really like the chrome bezel! It looks really nice and uses a universal CC key (and came with 2).

And yes, there's limited space to work with due to the cup holders!

Hey, thats my dash Well it's the same one i have anyway. I also have a new steering wheel and column also. Is the plug on the right of your switches a USB charge port by chance? I took my factory cup holders off when i mounted my dash, i think it looks a little better. Thanks for sharing.
I have been watching your build on this cart, Looking good
