I think I killed a $1,000 Sevcon SEPEX Controller with very minimal over spray from washing my batteries so be careful what you get wet.

I covered my controller in a trash bag to keep it from getting wet while I pressure washed and then still tried to avoid it. I've read some horror stories about getting them wet.

Easy, just tell people to quit looking under your seat.

Alltrax is supposed to be waterproof but I wouldn't hit with a pressure washer. Throw a towel over the controller and solenoid, wash around them then wash those with a sponge.

Most alltrax controllers are quit water proof. I have 3 AXE controllers and 1 SPM all four have survived being washed lots and lots of times.

Just be aware that water on the electrical end can cause some erratic operation till its dried off.

I would disconnect your pack from the controller before washing and make sure its dry before running the cart. I use compressed air or a leaf blower.

Alltrax has some videos of a SMP controller running in a block of ice so a bit of water won't really hurt them.

Heres the icy SPM

And a hosed off SPM controller.

You can run a shop vac to get the loose stuff off, I mix baking soda and and water in a bucket with a soft bristle scrub brush (1 or 2 x year) and then rinse with a bucket of fresh water (or low power hose), let it dry with the seat up. I would never use a power washer. I have seen many posts on this over the years, remember to switch to run/tow (if applicable), you can also disconnect the main battery terminals, looks pretty new when done.
