875E jerks/slams into gear.
Just bought an 875E to carry equipment to the field for my football team. About the only issue I know of with it is when I press on the gass it does nothing til about half way down then it's like it slams into gear and takes off. Is this something that can be fixed or adjusted? If so, any suggestions on where to start?
Assume a couple of things: 1. I know nothing about these carts, or how the electrical systems work. 2. I consider myself slightly handy and can track things down if given the right direction. |

I'm thinking maybe a mistake adjusted micro switch in the petal area or a faulty petal sensor system...pot box its??? An expert needed here.

Also, gonna take a little bit apart today and try to get a little familiar with it before I start asking too many stupid questions.

Re: 875E jerks/slams into gear.
Came across a couple things while tinkering today. One of the switches on the F/R wheel needs replacing. The little lever/wheel on the switch got all bent up. On a positive note after taking that switch off and messing with it I found a bad connection and now I have a back up beeper about half the time now.
It has an inductive throttle, and the plunger seems to be right at the opening to, even a little inside of, the sensor when the micro switch clicks. But I don't see any way to adjust any of that. |

Here's a couple pictures, first is of the throttle set up without the pedal being pushed, the second is the position of the plunger/sensor when the micro switch releases.

Re: 875E jerks/slams into gear.
You have a later model ITS, so the adjustment is at the pedal end of the shaft rather than in the box.
I'm not 100% sure of the attached since they are from an 875 industrial manual than a XI-875, but EZGO didn't reinvent the wheel for every model or every model year, so they ought to be close. Post pictures of controller area and of cart. |

Looks like the ITS stuff is the way it should be.
Here's pictures of the cart, the battery section and a connection there, then the motor/controller section. |
