Re: Led strip lights
I would love to get this done, but I am a complete idiot when it comes to this stuff. LOL
How difficult was it to hook everything up? How does it get power? Treat me as a total Newb. I do have an RXV with lights. |

The led Bluetooth Controller is fed by 12 volts. I have a separate 12 volt battery for my lights...
You just power the controller by 12volts. If you don't have a separate 12 volt accessory battery, you could buy a voltage reducer from Scottyb to have a 12 volt power source. http://www.cartsunlimited.net/12v-reducer--.html After that... The led strip has 4 contacts...Red, Green, Blue and Black. You just run the light strips in a series with the four wires or tie the wires together back near where ever you mount the controller. I mounted the controller under my seat next to the battery source. It was fairly straightforward Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk |

Re: Led strip lights
I much prefer the pods to the strips. The pods are more directionally controllable and since they are enclosed, with self stick tape backing, installation is simple and direct..
I run an extra 12 volt battery, the same one powers my head and tail lights as well as my horn. Simple run a power line, fused through a switch, from the battery positive to each light pod. Do the same with a ground line back to the battery. I have used these pods on the cart, a couple different Harley's and am installing them on my 48 pickup as interior and accent lights. They work like a charm have a very minimal drain and are easy to maintain. If one pod goes down, replace it, not the whole strip. I usually use something like these. https://www.superbrightleds.com/more...ight-black/27/ |

I wouldn't mind trying the pods, but I wanted to be able to change the colors.
I wonder if they have them in multi color? Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk |

Re: Led strip lights
I have seen multi color pods in kit form, with a controller. I have also seen, and have a few, multi-color single bulb units.
