Default Painting roof?

Rn the roof is white and I think it would look much better black ... any way to do this ? What paint would you use that would stay solid for years? Anyone ever done this ?

Painting a roof can be done. Like so many things in this world, how good of a job do you want and how long so you want it to last. You can do an automotive finish and will last 20 years or you can rattle can it and it will last a year.
Prep work is key.

Check out subsection "Body+Paint" in the Design Center Section. All will be revealed.

I've done this...I painted my roof green to match the body. I used Krylon Fusion paint and it works fine. It's available at Walmart in spray cans. I re-shot it after about 6 years and it holds up fine, even when left outside all year long during brutal New England Winters.....

I'm prepping mine for paint now. Really wanted a new one but ScottyB got all my money so while he is eating fillet and lobster I'm having to recycle.

Scuffed it down with a burgundy scotch brite and wiping it down good. Then it is getting a coat of bulldog adhesion promoter followed by urethane primer. For top coat I'm going with a single stage urethane.

You will be fine doing it that way.
That's about the same as I do it.
I usually wipe it down with acetone just before shooting it....just to make sure.

Lacquer thinner before scuffing and bull dog wax and grease remover after.

I actually scuff WITH acetone.
Bull dog and acetone both achieve the same goal as well.

Are you going to put a flex agent in the urethane?

No flex agent in the paint. It is my opinion that flex agent is good for things like plastic bumpers where there is a chance they can be hit/deformed.
