I had this cart wired 48v. And was getting 22 mph stock with only 12" rims on low profile tires, about the same diameter as stock wheels.
But i keep burning up 48v. HD solenoid s.
So after talking to scotty that problem wasn't gona get solved till I installed a speed controller.
So i have been back to 36v. Sence then at 14 mph. Good for wife and kids.

Did you use factory existing pedal rod?
Also what controller and solenoid do you have?

Curtis 500a 1268 controller [sepex] no name on the pot box, Curtis solenoid. All came programmed from Bohlinger Inc. Used stock pedal rod.

Looks like you did not use the throttle extension supplied or the pot mount bracket needs to be moved toward the front of the cart. When the bell crank is laid back as shown the initial pedal throw is used to lift not pull the linkage. This can result in a little delayed start or dead spot. The bellcrank should be near vertical at rest as shown in the instructions.

I can't say enough about how important it is to install the supplied throttle extension and to have the bellcrank in a vertical position with the go pedal up.
The install shown above could not be more incorrect. Notice that in this position the go pedal movement is spent lifting the bellcrank not pulling the pot arm, I'm certain the pot arm is NOT reaching it's built-in stop, hence the signal to the controller is not 100%
If the throttle linkage has been installed then the pot position is incorrect. Simply move the potentiometer mount forward until the bellcrank is vertical at rest and refasten the pot mount.
