Question Purchasing a Club Car question

Hey guys I am New to the forum but have been using the forum for advice for years,
I have the chance to buy a 36V 91 lifted Club Car for cheap. The owner says all that it needs is a V-Glide and new ball joints. Is there anything that I need to check or something that I should ask about. I know that it has been modified some by the fact that it has a new style roof on it along with the lift.

I have had a stock 63 club car for years and love the brand.

I have pictures of the cart I have the option of buying.

Check for broken frame. Is cargo box bent/broken?

Thanks Mooncarter,
Will check on frame. I was wondering the same thing about the cargo box but that may go away if I buy it. Really I just want one that I can use that is reliable to use on the family property and eventually mod maybe street legal but thats down the road.

Burnt up V-glide.... Hmm, it could be a resistor coil drive system (see attached) if yes, with those big tires it will go through V glides like kids go through shoes.

Until somebody installs a solid state conversion.

Thanks for the info Scottyb,
I will definitely have to check on that. The part number for the V-glide that I was given by owner is "CON-015!" if this helps.
I am currently looking for advice on if it would be feasible for me to fix before I drive a few hours away with my trailer to where it is and spend the $$.

The reason I said check the frame is: Cargo box looks bent. Whole roof system and seat backs have been replaced. Check especially the frame where shackles attach from leaf springs. Could have been a rollover. Of course I don't know this to be the case, but I learned this the hard way one time. Good luck!
