The red pigtail is used when you install a factory style 48-12V Reducer for lights or other 12 volt accessories. The blue pigtail on battery #4 is used when you install lights or other 12 volt accessories without a voltage reducer.

Thanks. That actually helps a lot. I have thought about installing a radio and this gives me a start on that project.
