Fuse for voltage reducer
Hello,
I installed the RHOX bucket harness, voltage reducer and LED light kit. I am up and running but there is blue fuse harness that I have not used and I am wondering if I need to plug it in between the battery and bucket harness. The instructions mention using fit for 12v batteries and gas carts but not specifically for 8v-48v applications. I am not sure if there is a fuse in between the battery and reducer currently and install would be redundant. Also not sure if the reducer itself serves the purpose of a fuse and strictly outputs 12v. Some clarity would be helpful. I have attached photos of the fuse harness and the pigtail off battery 1 where I would install. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Re: Fuse for voltage reducer
Fuses are intended to protect the wires from catching on fire in the event of a short circuit.
They should be installed as close as possible to the power source to be effective. Disconnect the quick connect on the Blue wire by the pack positive connection and connect the fuse harness in series with those quick connectors. A 10 amp fuse, or whatever is inside the fuse holder should be fine. |
