2012 txt belt noise.
hello everyone! Just purchased a used lifted 2012 ezgo txt to ride around our campsite roads. First couple rides went great. Went to take the cart for a spin today and noticed the drive belt is making noise while taking off sometimes. Also while going up a hill the belt started slipping and would not climb the hill. Backed down the hill and then it went up it no problem but belt makes a squealing noise at take off. I thinking maybe the belt needs replaced? any ideas would be great. also I've seen people putting shorter belts on for better torque. Does anyone have part number of the shorter belts?

its possible that someone has installed the new style rear clutch on your cart and didn't install the new style drive clutch or your belt is worn out look at the rear clutch and see if it says rapid response on it if so the drive clutch should also be aluminum and also say rapid response on it if they are not the same you will stretch and wear belts pretty often depending on the type of clutches you have you use different belts for the two different style clutches
