2009 ezgo txt will not move
I am sorry if this is already on here somewhere but 3 nights of searching yielded nothing helpful so I am going to ask.
I put newer interstate GC2 batteries in the cart and started driving it. It was slow but it was moving. voltage indicator on the dash was almost pegged. We came down a little hill and it lost power. Assuming that was because we were coasting. Eventually it started up again. Then my son dropped the seat belt behind the seat and it shorted out on the terminals on top of the motor. Now it wont move at all and the controller is beeping low voltage even though the pack is reading in excess of 38Volts. I can hear the pedal switch clicking lightly but the solenoid never makes any noise. Any thoughts? |

Well, ...Ouch - It is likely the belt buckle shorted out and fried the controller. I'm assuming this is a PDS or DCS cart? Do you know? See attached flow chart
This may be the perfect opportunity for an upgrade |

It's the one with the rocker switch and the tow run switch under the seat

Yeah I'm 99.9% sure that the controller is gone. Only the Alltrax XCT has any tolerance for a short on the output end.
Have a look at the XCT48400 Alltrax. You will get noticeably more torque (power) and speed. And it has reverse polarity protection on the input and output. |

Textron sts sport 2+2. Can you help me get the right part number, or do they have a good customer service?

Re: 2009 ezgo txt will not move
The Curtis 1206 (PDS) is replaced with the Alltrax XCT - most everybody uses the XCT48400 and 200 amp HD solenoid or the XCT48500 and 400 amp solenoid.
With the 500a XCT being turned down for the stock motor now and cranked up for an aftermarket motor later. I hope this helps |

Re: 2009 ezgo txt will not move
your website is killing me. I tried to add the controller +solenoid to the cart but it doesn't give me the option for 6, 6volt batteries. Can you email me a quote that I can send to someone to buy for me?
