New cables, pads and hardware, brakes still soft.
My old cables were completely locked up, so I put new ones on. Adjusted everything, and they were soft, so I replaced the pads and hardware. I'm still having the same issue. Adjuster screw for the pads was all the way in to get the new pads on. Little run, But it's perfect. If I adjust the main spherical nut where the cables meet up near the front, I am afraid there is going to be way to much rubbing on the hub and it will stick. Am I missing something somewhere? I've looked through the guides. I've done dozens of brake jobs on cars over the years. Never had this much trouble. What else can I look at?

First, adjust the rear brakes by operating the lever until no more clicks. I do this with the cable disconnected and vice grips on the levers. Once both sides are fully adjusted & reconnected, only then do I make any adjustments at the brake pedal end of the cable.
