motor controller
I have a Curtis 36v motor controller pn 25864g09..what number should I go to to just step it up a little? what is compatible?

For Series controller replacement use Alltrax SR series. SR48300 has a 350 amp peak, This is about 75a greater or about 33% bigger, but if big tires, rear seat, or hills are in the picture use SR48400. If more than one of the above factors apply use the SR48500 controller.
