Default nasty cable

I am replacing the 6 year old Sam's batteries in our '05, Precedent, and noticed this cable.

Thought at first I would soak it in baking soda water to get rid of the gunk, but that wasn't working. I cut the insulation back a few inches and the cable was really corroded.

Replaced it with a spare, and soldered all the previously crimped ends.

You might want to check all those cables.

I'd rip em out and replace all of em. Most likely they're as bad or worse than the one you replaced'.
Bad cables can fry a cart. Don't take a chance replace em, including motor and control cables.

Please do as Muddog suggests.

Replacing just one cable can lead to more problems at high current draw.

Don’t be scared to make cables either. I did my entire cart with 2ga welding cable with soldered ends in about an hour and a half. Got all of the materials except for the plumbers torch on Amazon for about $70

Thanks mboger. Too bad I’m doing a lithium conversion as soon as the charger gets delivered so they will end up lost in a box in the garage. Oh well they were sweet for the 2 months on there

Make sure you document your project! I've sworn that I have bought my last set of FLA batteries, especially if I can find a backup cart to keep us mobile while I tinker with the LI conversion.
