my upgrades continue
As I keep doing the upgrades on my 2008 club car precedent I changed the headlight/bumper to a new LED light all works good except the turn signals they light up but not blink.
Could the blinker fuse be different for a regular bulb vs led bulb? |

Re: my upgrades continue
You need a flasher for LED lights. You can get em at local auto parts store.

Re: my upgrades continue
I went to the auto parts for the flasher for LED lights. The flasher that the clerk sold me did not work. The young man said that there is another part that needs to go inline just before the led light. @12.99 I will take it back and try again.

Re: my upgrades continue
The flasher unit to control LED lights is different to that used for incandescent bulbs.
Just buy a new unit that is meant for LEDs. An example is https://www.ebay.com/itm/12V-3-PIN-L...hTgvW8&vxp=mtr |

Re: my upgrades continue
thinking more about my upgrades,
I may wait for my 2year old 12 volt batteries to die because my plan to go to 6 8 volts may be on hold. I have been reading some post on here about lithium batteries. The cost on some sites seems ok when you think of the cost of a set of trojan ranger 160 batteries. I would still like to do my motor, controller, and wait on the battery pack. would I be ok doing a alltrax 500 amp controller and a admiral A 4 motor. Then what kind of speed would I get with my 2008 club car precedent. with 22 inch tires. |

Re: my upgrades continue
you will be fine with the alltrax 500 amp controller and a admiral A 4 motor upgrade you asked about when you go to lithium. as for speed. im running stock (till i save enough for new tires) and get to 19mph. you will just have to be careful as the cart will weigh 500lbs less and doesnt stop on a dime. i plane on front brakes soon. some one way smarter then i could figure out the math.
just reread your not series. youll do way better on speed. Last edited by jethaulin; 11-16-2017 at 08:03 AM.. Reason: reread |

Re: my upgrades continue
Just the Alltrax 500 with the fancy map for a stock motor puts my cart at 26 all day. 27 and sometimes 28 when in ludicrous mode. I'm betting the stock motor will go over 30 when I put my lithium pack in, maybe even lift the front wheels. I would save the motor for last since apparently a stock motor can rip with everything else setup right.
