Default Ezgo its sensor replacement

I am fairly sure my its is faulty after doing the testing procedures listed here and on scottyb’s site. My question is why is there such a huge price difference in the its from $189 to $289 from local ezgo dealers to $35 on amazon? I don’t want to cheap out but a 700% increase is hard to swallow if it is the same part. Any of you guys know if there is a major difference in the unit? I will spend the $200-$300 if it is a far superior product but if they are comparable I would be an idiot not to buy the $35 one.

I am getting 14 volts at the white wire and 2.5 at the black wire. I even bypassed the to wires to see if I had a broken wire.

a Little history on the problem:
I stretched this cart 36” like my other cart. I cut and stretched the wires one at a time jus like my other cart. All connections were soldered and heat shrinked. Problem started directly after the stretch which caused me to think I had made a bad connection. I ohm tested the wires and all of them tested at 0 ohms which would seem to me that there are no broken connections.

I have used the cheaper ones from eBay without any issues.

Great!! Thank you for your input. I really didn't want to spend $200-$300 on a part I am not 100% sure is the problem.

They're worth trying. Better than spending $200 and it not fix your problem.

We've all done something similar like that before.
