Default Forcefully pushing accelerator to make cart engage

2006 EZGO txt pds. After my cart sits for a couple days or even a couple of hours, I have to slam the accelerator down a couple of times to get the cart to engage and finally move. Once it does move, it goes fine with zero hesitation. I’ve tested solenoid and controller, bother check good. I watched the motion in the accelerator box and everything seems to work ok mechanically. I’m not much of an electrical guy so I’m kind of stumped as to what to do next. Appreciate any advice.

I'm betting it's the switch in the pedal box, but it could also be the reed switch or key switch. All three of these items sometimes respond to jarring when they are failing.

Do you mean f/r switch? I’m not sure what a reed switch is. Thanks for your reply!!!

Search reed switch to in the search option above & to the right. Reed switch is not the F&R, it is located in the charge port.

I bet it's the pedal switch too.

Update...replaced pedal switch same issue. Going to replace reed and f/r switch next. Anyone have any other clues as to what may be the problem?

Get a volt meter and chase the activation circuit.
