Default Is neutral needed on the golf carts?

I have a 2010 rxv with the really annoying off forward neutral reverse keys.

I want to replace the key with an on off. Then use a rocker switch to set forward off reverse.

In off there would be no neutral. From the wiring diagram this seems straight forward.
Does that 3rd line need a hook up?
Can't find a on on on switch I like the look of.

Thanks

I think you'll get into trouble should the motor or brake fail. You won't be able to move the cart.

Be very careful messing with the keyswitch wiring on an RXV. It is sooo easy to blow the controller. It's more computer than golf cart.

Tow mode won't allow neutral?
I could always put a hidden switch somewhere for neutral.
As for being careful. Ues I gathered that. I'm pretty good with electrical

I hope so. It could be an expensive hidden switch for little gain.

Well the ignition it's toast anyway the key falls out and needs to be replaced. Won't be a bit deal or that hard to do. Thanks for the input
