Question on the charger now too. When I plug it in it sparks and trips my breaker...

Are those cheap $58 small ones on eBay decent?

They make decent maintainers, but I wouldn't but one for a primary charger. You need one that does 20 amps.

What size breaker does that outlet have and what other loads are on that circuit? It's not unusual to have several outlets fed by a single breaker, and if you have other things plugged in to that circuit, the inrush may be too much.

Where are the sparks? at the outlet, or shooting out from inside the charger?

They shot from inside the charger

Since it's toast anyway, you might as well open it up and snap a few pics and post them. Discharge the cap before touching anything. Depending on what blew, it might be cheaper to repair yours. My DPI has blown 2 circuit boards, one out of warranty and one within warranty. Was way cheaper to clean up all the carbon and replace the board.
