EZGO crunch, crunch... no go
Moved to NC this summer and cart sat until this weekend when I got the charger working again. When I went on a "maiden voyage" around the neighborhood we only made it about 500 yards before i heard and felt a crunch in the rear end. Went another 100 yards and then it crunched again then locked up and would not move under power. It would though roll and I ended up having to tow it home.
At first I thought it was the spider gears in rear axle then thought if that was the case it wouldn't move at all even when pushed/pulled. When I looked under cart i saw leaking fluid from differential and where motor attaches. pic attached. thoughts? Thanks. |

Re: EZGO crunch, crunch... no go
I would check the hubs where the splines of the axles engage them. They tend to strip out and the axles turn without turning the hubs. They are easy to check, so check that first. Next would be where the motor engages the input shaft. Let us know what you find...
