Default What’s the truth?

My EZGO Elec dash meter reads 50 % gone,
But a volt meter Reads 50.8 volts and that is only 10% gone.

What am I missing?

Your dash meter needs to be deposited into the nearest trash receptacle you can find in TV.

I'm sure some woman in TV will see you doing this and have a problem with it.

Agreed. The factory dash meters are notoriously inaccurate. Don't know if I've ever seen one that agrees with my meter.

I’m planning on replacing mine with a voltmeter instead. Then I can confirm that the volts there match my voltmeter

You have asked this same question several times in the last year+.

The factory gages in the RXV (and others) are frequently wrong for a variety of reasons and should always be varied/checked against a working volt/multimeter. When in doubt the multimeter is right but still only a guide.

Given that you are in the Villages I would recommend a complete sweep and clear of all info on this forum. A anonymous HOA member may find this and immediately report you for having an incorrect meter on your cart!! lol. jk I would trust the voltmeter not the dash.

When we bought our used 2016 RXV we were wisely told the SOC meter in the dash was for entertainment purposes only.

Replacing with a volt meter
