Default WWII Vet's PDS - Hilly Mode Setting Change

Hi there:
Today I plan to try to confirm the Performance Option setting and possibly change it from 'All Terrain' to 'Steep Hill'.
'Dad' is 96 years old and there are some decent hills in the town.
He doesn't need to go fast, so we think it might be safer for him.

I have read a bunch of posts and understand how to trigger the controller to beep, and have the beep codes.

Following confirmation of setting, will follow the instructions to turn switch to tow and remove the battery pack mains before opening the controller housing.

Once inside, I plan to look for the original condition of the J2 jumpers - if any.
Then apply a jumper between pins 2 and 3.

If it still has the buzzer hooked up turn the key on and flip it from neutral to reverse 5 times returning to neutral. It will beep 1-4 times. That will tell you what chip if any is in it. If it beeps 4 times you can convert that to either one of the other hill chips by cutting one of the jumper wires. You can also put another toggle switch in there to be able to switch it back and forth between the two. Also make sure to mark the main wires coming off the pack so they don’t get crossed.
