Default Motor Resistance Checks help

Troubleshooting 2006 EZGO PDS no go. Made resistance checks on stock motor according to the Curtis 1206MX install sheet, with motor completely disconnected at the controller. All measurements were within spec except for F1-Motor case. This measures open when probes are connected one way, and 2.050Megohm when probes are switched, as if measuring through a diode. The install sheet does not mention this. It merely states that this measurement must be greater than 5Megohm. So, question is, would you consider this motor bad given the above F1-Case measurement?

If there is some rust present, you can get a rectifier effect. (Iron oxide rectifier stack of yesteryear. )

The less than 5MΩ reading indicates a buildup of carbon dust from brush wear. A good cleaning, a new set of brushes and maybe a new bearing is probably all that motor needs.
