How to change charger profile.
2014 Club Car President 48 volt. Original packs.
This is my mothers cart and it sees very little use. Maybe an hour on the weekends if that. She is 90 years old and we will take her a spin around the place. Is there a way to change the charger so it charges at a slower rate so the batteries dont bubble? My guess it would help extend the life of the packs?? The cart was purchased at a used lot and no idea if the charger matches the packs or not. Have a feeling they just grab one of the stack and give you. I know I have seen on here how to change the profile of the ERIC charger but can not find it. |

Re: How to change charger profile.
Here is the current links I found for installing additional charging profile/algorithm in those ERIC chargers:
List of Algorithms available for download: US Batteries: https://support.delta-q.com/hc/en-us...hm-suggestions Trojan Batteries: https://support.delta-q.com/hc/en-us...hm-suggestions Other Batteries: https://support.delta-q.com/hc/en-us...Algorithms.pdf Where to Download the Algorithms: https://support.delta-q.com/hc/en-us...eries-Chargers How to Install them: https://support.delta-q.com/hc/en-us...date_steps.pdf Software needed to read the data logs from USB stick: https://delta-q.com/software-accessories/ |

Re: How to change charger profile.
Read this from another post...I cleaned it up a bit..
PART 1 - IDAT software Download the IC Data Analysis Tool (IDAT) and User Guide from delta-q technologies at: https://delta-q.com/software-accessories/ When the download was complete, I unzipped the installation package file, and double-clicked on “setup.exe” to install it on my computer. To view the charger’s data, I took a clean, blank USB flash drive (2MB min.) and after a charge cycle was complete and the charger disconnected from my cart, I inserted the flash drive into the USB port on my charger. The charger automatically began to download the data. The download was complete when the charger Indicator showed solid green (approximately 2-3 minutes). I inserted the flash drive into my computer and opened the IDAT software. This showed me the data from previous charges, and most importantly, it showed me that I had charging algorithim #256. PART 2 - Changing algorithim Download algorithms from: https://support.delta-q.com/hc/en-us...eries-Chargers Once downloaded onto my computer, I unzipped the file and then copied it onto a clean, blank USB flash drive. I unplugged my charger from the cart and the wall. I waited about 30 seconds and then plugged the charger back into the wall outlet. (May not be necessary, but wanted to make sure the charger was freshly rebooted). After waiting until the charger light was steady, I inserted the flash drive into the USB port. The indicator light began to flash. After a few minutes, the light stopped blinking and I removed the flash drive. I unplugged the charger from the wall, waited a few seconds and plugged it back in. To verify the new algorithim, I downloaded the charger’s data again (from Part 1) and it will show what the new algorithm is.. |
