Replacing one pack???
2014 Club Car President 48 volt
I know you should replace all six, and there due but............. My 90 year old mothers cart. Gets used maybe 1 hr a week if that Gets her out of the house and look the place over. 5 of the 6 batteries test good. What will happen if I just replace the bad battery with hopefully a used one, if not, a new pack? Just trying to get her going for her best option. Again....Very little used cart. Guy at work replaced his packs first of last year and already has two bad. He is the forklift tech so he knows how to maintain packs. That's going to be expensive for my mother for such little use. |

Re: Replacing one pack???
If they are original 2014 batteries I would replace all. If 2020 +/-, replace bad one with like used.

Re: Replacing one pack???
My opinion is based on her infrequent usage. Go with one new or a used battery if you can find one.
If used, check the specific gravity and look for one above 1.238 [80%] or in the green range of the hydrometer. This should get her back on the road! |

I think its great your Mama can do that at 90 yrs old. Do what ever it takes. Money should be not be in the equation. Great your helping her.

Re: Replacing one pack???
money is always in "the equation". dropping $700 on a cart that gets used 1 hour a week would be hard to swallow on a fixed income. starbreaker may not be rolling in the dough either. i like tom's suggestion, buy 1 new or used battery and see if that fit's your mother's needs.
