Any Central PA Golf Cart Gurus Out There??
Looking for any info on local lithium suppliers. I called my local shop about converting my 48v PDS to lithium and they acted like I was crazy and it couldnt be done. (This is also the same shop that said I couldnt convert my current cart to 48v.)
I currently have 6 8v US 4/20 batteries and I think they are junk. They last nowhere near as long as my old Harris 6 6v setup at 36v. I maintain my batteries to a T and never deplete below 50% SoC. They just dont last as long as I think they should. I'm considering going lithium for a few reasons -save weight (we pull a travel trailer with an F250 and GC in bed, I am about 400lbs over the trucks GVRW all loaded up) -Longer run time and less maintenance. -It is my assumption you get more "usable" power out of lithium (I go 25 or so on flat and drop to 18-20 on long, steep hills) Cart is an 03 PDS with Alltrax xct48500 with admiril motb2 motor. 23" tires and back seat. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. |
