Seat covers fitment issues
Anyone have any suggestions for installing these seat covers?
I have been trying to work with the vendor but they are just telling me I am installing them wrong, lol! I can not get the backrest cover to fit? I installed leather seat covers in my Mustang and My Jeep, those were less trouble then these stupid golf cart covers from uptopar They will not fit over the outer ends of the backrest, pics attached. Seams are not lining up with the ends of the seat Cushing. Each end is about 2” short and I have stretched them as far as they will go. Anyone have any suggestions? I am about to take them to a local shop that I have done business with before for them to take a look at the backrest covers. I should have just used them again, you get why you pay for! ! |

Re: Seat covers fitment issues
Normaly you'd have to remove the oem seat cover, installing the new one direct on the foam

Re: Seat covers fitment issues
Ok sorry, so you could try to warm up the whole cover with a hairdryer ( to get it more flexible ), put it on the ground and with your knees on the backside, compress it as far as possible. That hopefully will help to get it in place.

Re: Seat covers fitment issues
I've had, in some instances, to put a moving blanket on the floor and have someone stand on the seat back to compress it while I stapled it.
Some are more forgiving than others. I've also had good luck with leaving the covers in the sun to soften them up. |

Never had an issue with uptopar. Did you order for the Modz? It looks like a Club Car front seat cover.

Re: Seat covers fitment issues
I would have to say the cover is not right one , as far as my 3X dealings with uptopar has been excellent .

Re: Seat covers fitment issues
It looks to me like there's enough wrinkles in the pic from the top for it to stretch quite a bit. You can lay the cover in the sun or throw it in your clothes dryer for a few minutes to make it easier to work with.
