Default Sepex or Series

I have a Alltrax NCX300R5 controller. I have recently upgraded this controller and system over to 48 volts from 36 volts and it really woke the cart up. I have just bought a used D&D motor and was going to install it in my cart. While looking at my controller I noticed it says Non-Programable DC Motor Controller for Sep-ex Motors. I do not want to mess up the motor or controller. Am I okay to install the series motor on this controller? The motor that is being run by the controller now is not a regen motor, at least I think that it is not. Here is a picture of controller and motor. The motor in the cart now does not have a pigtail coming out the end for a speed sensor hook up and all 4 lugs where the wires connect are the same size. I was thinking it was a series motor but the controller and that the cart is a DCS now has me worried I have made a wrong decision on buy the D&D motor. I am ignorant when it comes to how the motor and controller work. I understand the basics.

DCS carts did not have a speed sensor so no pigtail there. That controller is for sepex motors so the series motor will not work.

NO. You can't use a series motor with a Sepex controller.

Just so you don't feel bad. DCS was the worlds first Sepex golf cart. There were anomalies like 4 same size cables and no speed magnet pigtail. But it is Sepex none the less.

I researched this cart and quite a bit and found it was something of a new and unusual cart. Probably not the best cart to be monkeying with from a novice like me. LOL!

Love this board. You guys on this forum give comfort to us novice cartsmen!
