A battery that requires connection to a charger to reset an overcurrent condition is just plain bad. It should reset itself after a few seconds of the load being removed.

@ Old Glory, can't you limit the max current of the Navitas controller in its settings?

yes I can with the on the fly controller but when I want to get up a hill at full speed then it kicks off with no reset. ROYPOW said I was exceeding the BMS and I needed to upgrade the S series to the P series that gives me another 115 amps before the BMS cuts out.

my dealer still has no idea what is going on. I have learned most of this on BGW here and my experience with the cart.

“What’s going on” is very simple, your battery is undersized for your cart.

With the OTF programmer you'll be able to set speed, acceleration and regen... the max current draw has to be set in the app
