Default Marathon Cart Lithium Upgrade with RXV Charger

Hey folks,

Working on my Marathon cart and just ordered a set of Allied Lithium batteries with an RXV style charger.

Link to the kit I bought: https://acegolfcartcovers.com/produc...39343607382184

I am using an Alltrax 48400 with 400amp solenoid.

I now want to upgrade the charging port on my cart from the "D style" to the new RXV charging port. I found an older thread here that said this can be done by:

Black on pack negative (-)
Red on pack positive (+)
Grey with wire on pack Positive (+)

Does this sound right? What about the blue wire on the RXV charging port?

Alternatively, is there a better approach that I should consider over replacing the port?

Thank you!

Default Re: Marathon Cart Lithium Upgrade with RXV Charger

I spoke with Allied customer service and they confirmed if I wanted to install their waterproof charger onboard I can simply cut the OEM connector off and connect the white wire to battery positive and the black wire to battery negative. They confirmed the green wire is not needed.

This makes my decision easy in that I will simply replace the original "D style" plug with a male 110v receptacle as I have found on other threads here. Then I can simply connect an extension cord when I want to charge and will never forget the charger at home!
