Not pulling full power!
I have one ezgo (mine) that runs fine. At full throttle up the hill, my cart can pull the voltage down to 30-31v, then at the top of the hill at rest pops back up to 38v. I have a similar cart that drags going up hill and dogs down, but the batteries never pull below 35v. My cart has an old misfit set of old batteries, while the other is less than a year old. I swapped my battery cables with the slow cart and mine stayed fine. I cleaned the contacts at the motor. The other cart seemed a bit better, but mine is clearly better. The bundle of batteries in both carts was 38v+ and individually within .2 volts, so it is not the batteries or the cable.
The bad cart has VERY few hours (30) since the Atlanta Olympics, so the brushes should not be worn out. Moisture could happen with the speed sensor or throttle? Moving the throttle does not seem to have an effect when it runs slow. Another possibility is both carts have different controllers. Mine has the version a wire can be cut for hill mode, the trouble cart has an earlier controller. Perhaps it is wrong to expect one cart to act like another, then again maybe my controller is good and the other has problems? |

Re: Not pulling full power!
Little more info on cart.
Year model? Does it have the ability to change performance chips? Has it been unlocked to freedom mode ? 😊 |
