2006 Ezgo Smokes When first started.
Hello. I have been lurking for a while & I appreciate all of the info on here. I was hoping someone can help me. I have a 2006 ezgo that will smoke for a couple of seconds when you first start it. It's blue smoke so it's oil & you can smell it. When I first got it, it did it all the time, then I adjusted the valves & now it only does it after it sits for a while. Any help is appreciated.

Usually continous smoke means rings and start up smoke means valve seals.
SNS is asking because if lifted and you use the original dipstick full mark you will overfill and cause smoke, what does the air filter look like? |

Thanks for the replies. It's not lifted. I was thinking valve seals too. Is it a big job to replace them?
Edit: I replaced the air filter, so I can't reference that. |

Not meaning anything at all about my next comment but It really depends on ones mechanical ability and how comfortable one is tackling something they have never done before.
If you wanted to try it, or any of the repairs on your cart I would suggest you pick up a service manual and drop it in the basket beside the throne. I'm not familiar with the newer engines but just did a similar pre MCI motor so I couldn't tell you if the proceedure is the same or not. Hopefully, someone will jump in and lay it out. |

Valve seals aint that bad. The manual is a good place to start though.
