04 Gas EZgo valves
I have an 04 EZGo text that we use at our campground. The problem began with a hard start issue and eventually would not start. I did a compression check and found low compression. I adjusted the valves cold to .004" this worked fine and the cart has been fine for a while. I have now had to set the valves two more times this summer every time the valves are too tight .
My biggest concern is: Why do I have to keep adjusting the valves? Are they recessing in the head, or are the valves growing in length? Thanks in advance Dave |

Re: 04 Gas EZgo valves
The outer lip burns off the edge of the valve & it recesses into the head as it gets smaller...

Re: 04 Gas EZgo valves
or you could have bad rockers. I had a cart that was doign that and replaced the rockers. Cart has been gone for a year now with no issues. I was adjusting them every other mth. this cart is driven 8-10 hours a day.
but you could have a valve issue as stated. I have seen that b4. |
