Default Club Car 1997 One Speed

Have a 1997 electric, 48V, club car that goes immediately to full speed with the slightest touch of hte acelerator. Have looked for a pie shaped black box, not found. Any idea where the speed controller would be located or how to test it???

It has an MCOR. Black box under the floor on the drivers side.

Has the controller been changed on the cart?

Not to my knowledge. So the speed controller is attached to the accelerator.

When I disconnect the speed controller or MCOR, the same thing happens. Would this indicate a bad controller or a bad computer?
