Default older yamaha gas

My uncles cart runs good except at times like turning around ,the motor will crank and run then stalls ,sometimes the motor will back fire.thanks in advance for help.

I'd start with normal tune up items. Also check the airbox to make sure it is sealed and throttle on carb to make sure it is opening and closing properly when pressing the pedal.

I agree, start with a tune up and check the air box seal.

Hello guys and thanks for the help.After my last thread a quick lookover of the belts.The V belt from starter to motor was loose.A spray from a can of belt dressing seem to cure the problem,how ever additional spray there's wining noise.How do you get the large drive belt off? And also the V belt how much tenison I dont to over tighten It.

Just snug it a bit tighter than it is. Its suppose to have about 1/2" deflection when its correct. But what the heck does that really mean?... Just tight enough for it to work right.
