Help! How do you mount boat seats on G!?

I am revamping a Yamaha G1 with original bucket seats. They are torn and old and need to be replaced. Since it is nearly impossible to find original G1 bucket seats, I read that people use boat bucket seats. Looked at a few.
PLEASE someone tell me how to mount them in a G1. Thank you so much in advance.

You'll likely have to make a steel bracket to mount the new seats to. Boat seats have mounting holes to use bolts in for mounting. Typically 4 bolts mount to some kind of steel bracket. I used some flat bar and angle iron for mine. I just used the flat bar on the bottom where it mounts to the golf cart, then welded up some angle for the bolt holes to mount to. I think you're pretty much going to have to fabricate a steel mount, you probably won't find any kind of pre-made brackets that will work without modification.

If the mounting holes on the seats dont line up with the original structure, you can cut some 3/8ths steel strap about 2 inches thick drilled to accept the mounting points.
Our mounting on these seats only required drilling the existing structure from the OE seat mounting.

My wife's cart has them we just made a paper or cardboard temp let and drilled the holes...Good luck..

I dont know how to add pics from my phone but I bought two boat seats from walmart
35 bucks each and i just used good heavy duty self tapping screws to hold them down.

They're boat seats from overtons but recovered by upholstery shop by the house the guy does great work..only 70 bucks a seat..
