Re: Saving a 94 Medalist
Just for everyone's edification, IIRC, the Medalist began as a metal bodied cart and the model ended with plastic panels. I'm thinking 94.5 was the changeover....if memory serves....

Re: Saving a 94 Medalist
So how important is it to get heavy duty leaf springs for the front of the cart if I plan to get the bed, and life as well as wheels and tires? I understand the rear is pretty important due to the added weight of the bed, but I'm not sure about the front. I am going to get coilovers for the front as well.

Re: Saving a 94 Medalist
the front will work well on stock spings. they made the metal body ones up until 98. i think they just wanted to get rid of their inventory!
if you are interested, i have a 5" lift frt. axle. |

Re: Saving a 94 Medalist
So its just the front lift, or is it an all around lift with a front axle?

Re: Saving a 94 Medalist
It's a Medalist body - the 2nd pic in post #9 is skewed and looks like a different front cowl. Easier to see the cowl in the first pic...
That's a Medalist for sure It's gonna look great lifted! |

Re: Saving a 94 Medalist
Got my leaf springs on this afternoon, and what an improvement in the stance and steering. Took the cart up and down the road and it runs between 7.5-9.5 mph i am going to fully charge the batteries and aee what I get. That has to get better, I want to be in the 20+ mph.
Here is a pic i took tonight... |
