Default 12" 36v Overhead Fan install

I bought a 1996 EZGO 36v series cart, it has a 12" overhead fan mounted to the roof with wires ran down to battery compartment but it is not connected. It also is missing the 2 speed toggle switch. My question is how do I wire this up to make it work? I am also installing a 12v accessory battery to my cart could I run that fan off 12v battery with any rocker switch? Thank you in advance,
Frank

A 2 speed fan would have 3 wires... It would wire up something like this instruction here. Note they use a 3 position switch to get the 2 speeds. If you want to simplify life, pick one speed and use a 20 amp toggle switch.

Thank you Scottyb, I think I will try just the one speed. I can just hook this to my 12v accessory battery correct?

Frank,

You can run it on 12V but if the fan is a 36V it will run slow. If it's a 3 wire, I would hook it back to the pack and run a double throw switch. the fan shouldn't pull all that much.

See if you can find a voltage tag on the motor. Or test the fan on 12v and see if the output is sufficient.
If it is a 12v motor you can definitely run it off of a 12v accessory battery
