Auxillary Battery Advise

I seen the schematic and like it and it raised a question I had so will ask and see if anyone knows. I was thinking of adding a solar panel on top of my cart. If I got a 12 volt solar panel could it be wired into the fuse panel and allow power into the system or is there a 1 way power to where power can not enter depending on my inverter and also is there a way to check if this is possible?

mine says to disconnect when 12v system is in use
i have seen some that are hard wired into the 12v system
if you have inverter why would need solar ?

Solar panel would ease the burden off of batteries when out in daytime. Or leave cart outside and slowly recharge batteries backwards thru inverter. Just like a house solar system works. Run off panel when sunny but run power from batteries or in case of a house utility company when needed.

i see ... you would need a big enough panel with enough watts to run what you have on

You can't run an inverter "backwards".

I'm not going to get into proper terms here.

A solar panel makes DC. Your battery pack is DC. A true coil and core transformer can be run backwards. Transformers work on AC, or chopped DC. Any inverter, or for that matter, anything that uses electronics can't be run backwards, unless it's specifically engineered to do so, which would drive up the cost.

Around here, an inverter is a term that's typically used for a voltage reducer, such as 36 or 48 volts DC to 12 volts DC.

In home solar applications, an inverter converts the battery pack DC to 120 volt AC, so home appliances can be used. This is similar to the type of inverter you might use in your car to power 120 volt AC devices, but WAY bigger.

If you choose to do this, I'd suggest looking for a forum that is specifically for solar in a home, RV or boat.

EDIT: I'm assuming you're trying to charge a buggy pack. If you have an auxiliary 12 volt battery, things get a LOT easier.
