I can't figure out why it hesitates when I hit the gas. I checked all the wire and its all where it should be and in good condition. But when I hit the has it takes a second to respond and once I'm about 3/4 throttle if I give it gas there nothing more. And its very slow notcrawling but slower than it should be

It sounds wired incorrectly.....OR when you replaced the motor cables did you twist one of the terminals inside the motor housing? (I'm assumung you replaced those. I dont know)

You'll need a Volt/ohm meter to check each terminal to see if it has continuity to case.......(Or to another lug its not supposed to have continuity)other than that the only way I know is to pull the motor off.

Its entirely possible when you removed the cables from the motor one got turned and is shorting out.
