Keep the negative probe on pack negative. Ignore the large posts on the solenoid. Until we get the solenoid actuating, we are only going to work on small wires, not cables.

With FNR in either forward or reverse, key switch on, and pedal slightly pressed, the solenoid should click. I'm puzzled by what you describe on the pedal MS (MS3). If you have power going to the MS3 and leaving MS3, the solenoid should click. If I understand you, it sounds like MS3 is working backwards? I'm assuming the solenoid isn't clicking?

Don't tell your friend how the reed switch failed (you killed it), rather emphasize that all the experts recommended bypassing it when it died, and even EZ-GO quit using them. However, it is now possible to drive away with the charger still plugged in to the cart. Many folks simply run the charger cord through the steering wheel to prevent this. Replacing the reed switch is costly, and when it fails, they could be stranded.
