Exclamation 36 volt charger to hot to touch

Golf Cart charger was plugged in this morning as done on a normal daily routine.
Checked the charge a couple hours later with the results being no change in battery power but charger had heated up to the point of being untouchable.
Can anyone tell me my next move.
Thanks

Unplug the charger, then let us know what charger you have. If it's a QE, there is not much you can do in the way of repair. RAY

Your charger may be headed for the QE junkpile, if you check past threads you'll find it has a poor reputation. The QE charger is a very expensive "throw away" charger. Maybe someone here can help you do some testing to confirm that it is gone (I know that I can't, sorry). If you do end up shopping for a new charger I recommend you look at the DPI charger at the following link:

Good luck - RAY
