ezgo year id?

im new to the cart world so of course i got a few questions. i got a 2001 ezgo purdy cheap from a friends grand-folks yesterday but they dont recall too much about it. how do i tell if this a 94-2001.5 type or a 2001.5-present type? the tag on the pass side reads
b401 - manf. code
1349703 - s/n
am i reading that right? 2001 model? which half of 2001 is this thing?

and how do i tell if its a pds txt dcs

Your cart is a 2001 by the Manufacture code.....the main diff I see is in the steering box mount....01 the steering box mounted to the front axle assembly. Prior to that it mounted to the body

How many bolts does the steering column use to bolt to the floor?
3 bolts-EARLY 2001
4 bolts-LATE 2001
By the little tag on the side it's a PDS (Precision Drive System)
