Default Over fueling 3gp two cycle

I have a 89 kart with 3gp I rebuilt the engine a year ago it doesn't get driven much I have a over fueling problem I get it started and shut the fuel Valve off it runs fine , but if I leave the valve on it starts to flood with fuel I got a new fuel pump and I also put a new carburetor on it and the tank vent is open so the tank is not pressurized & I still have the same problem with it , anyone else seen this or heard of this what is the next step any help would be appreciated thanks

You have already replaced the two most likely suspects. The fuel pump and carburetor.

A ripped lower diaphragm could let fuel directly into the engine. That is the main reason to premix gas and not rely on the oil injector.

A float valve not closing in the carburetor would have been the other option.

My suggestion would be to check the float valve in your original carburetor and put it back on. The $20 Amazon carbs are junk.

The only other thing that I can think of is a plugged muffler causing too back pressure and flooding. That's only a guess. You could try disconnecting the pipe going to the muffler and see what happens.

How clean is your air filter?

Ok let check the other carb . I have unhooked the exhaust to try that, (I was wondering if the reed valves would have anything to do with this problem) I'm not that familiar with two stroke engines thanks for the reply back
