Default G2 upgrades

Ok everyone finally have my g2 put back together and top speed is 18.8mph on stock tires. Already have a comet primary clutch, and open element air filter. What is the best bang for the buck on performance upgrades? TIA

How fast do you want to go? Or do you want torque?

Tough with a 9 hp power plant. Some like the "Umax" secondary spring, some like the "torque spring" and others like "Plowmans" set up. Anytime you go for torque, you will lose speed. Good luck on YOUR choice

I saw the same top speed gps on my G9 with a umax vs stock, but its a lifted with 22 tires. It did 28 on dirt and 30 on pavement with stock engine and no governor. And with 15psi in the rears and 8 in fronts lol. It kept the rpm higher in low and medium speeds, not that much difference at higher speeds where it stays revving more anyway.

The only way you can get more top speed is more rpm from the engine, and stock only does so much. Or you can put HS gears in the trans, expensive, but you get like 10mph more all the time, or you can lift it and put larger diameter tires on. 22-23s are similar to HS gears on stock tires. I put them in an old CC and it was hitting the rev limit at 28gps down the road pretty sure it did about 18 before gears.

I now have a clone 420 engine with some mods but stock block and cam, so far tested at 38gps down the road with same tires.

Was going to add larger tires down the road. Just trying to figure out my options.

So tires will help top speed and a power spring will help onthe tourque. Dont want to get too much speed with those crappy brakes

Dont mix high speed gears And large tires, it will totally suck with the stock engine.
