Default G29 Drive vin #???????

I cant seem to find my vin #....not the JW1 number, the insurance company said there has to be a 17 digit vin. I have searched and cant find it. Am I missing something or in the insurance company missing something?

No 17 digit tags on Yamaha's. For example, will start JW1-******. From the drivers side, lift the seat bottom. Look across the top of the engine/stater-generator. There will be a white tag that is mounted verticaly on the frame member.

Guess the insurance company has to do some checking then. I tried to tell them that is the only number but they said their system wouldn't take it.

My ins. Co. took the SN without a 17 digit vin. But i did get a real title for it from DMV first (i planned on plating it as a LSV). I had to do a "bonded title" because i did not have the original MCO given to the original owner, once that process was done, its just as good as any other title (not like a "scrap" "dismantle" or "rebuild" title given to vehicles that have been totaled). I use State Farm, many others wouldnt even talk about insuring it. Liability only is dirt cheap, $3 a month.

If you are trying to put it on an auto policy you may need a real VIN which G29s don't have. Are you trying to register it as a LSV or are you simply trying to get liability coverage for a golf cart?
