Default Polarizing generator G2

Overhauled engine; starter works fine but now generator won't charge. I have been told I need to polarize the generator. Which wires do I use to polarize it?

Welcome to BGW Justin...
If that is true, it's news to me. The starter/generator should not need polarization.

I've had to flash the fields on some older A/C generators but like the other post I've not heard it mentioned on carts....

The factory manual also says nothing of this mysterious process for S/G replacement. "old wives tale"?
